It's Complicated
I don't understand why there are always complications when I find someone I like. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but it still sucks. It would be awesome if I could just like someone and things would work out, but there is always some catch. I would like to say things will work out this time , but I can't tell at all where things are going...

Goodbye World Cup... It Was Fun
The World Cup is over, which is sad in a way because now there is no more soccer to watch for a few months and I have to wait 4 years until the next World Cup :( On the other hand, SPAIN WON!! It is crazy to think this is their first World Cup title ever, but I'm glad I was able to witness it. Until next time... VIVA LA FURIA ROJA!!

Coming Home
My plans for this summer were originally to hang out in Spokane and find a job for the summer and then come back for 2 weeks or so to California. However that is not what has happened. Jobs are so hard to find these days and I was not able to get one. I think this is best though because since the end of May until very recently I have had pains in my chest, arms, and back, which was really bothering me. I had seen three doctors and all they could tell me was I seemed healthy but there was obviously something wrong. It probably all has to do with me sliding down the stairs on my stomach but I wanted some kind of confirmation. This last week or so I have felt a lot better though and it is basically non-existent. Anyways, this was bothering so much that I decided to come down to California a little earlier then I had planned. Also, I am out here for a longer period of time then I expected. It is weird being home for this long. I think at this point this is the longest I have been home since summer of freshman year. The best part of being here so far has been seeing friends I have not seen in awhile. Overall, it has been good being home.
Yesterday was the 4th of July and it was a pretty fun day overall. In the morning I went to church with my whole family. It was a little weird because Caitlin was there and this was the first time seeing her since we broke up. It was annoying because I wanted to at least say hi and ask how her trip to Peru was because I know she was really excited about it but I couldn't do it. This won't be the last time we will be in the same place and I would like for it to not be awkward for either of us. During the rest of the day I went over to my grandpa's house and my whole family was there and we celebrated Sean and Josh's birthdays. I also got to go swimming for the first time this summer and I got sunburned, which sucks. :( At night I was able to go over and see the Pritchetts. It was really good to catch up with Amanda and see Bill and Cindy. I felt somewhat of a relief after seeing Bill and Cindy because I didn't know what it would be like seeing them after everything. I should have known everything would be fine but I guess I needed to experience it to finally understand. Amanda showed me a bunch of pictures from the trip to Peru. It looked like an amazing trip and it was weird seeing all the pictures because if things had gone differently I would have been on that trip.
I think that is about all I wanted to write. I'm going to be home until August 2nd so I'm sure there will be more to write before then. Oh yeah, the world cup finals are on the 11th, hopefully Spain will be there. GO SPAIN! Anyways, that is definitely it for now...

New Things
I haven't posted in awhile it would seem and some big things have happened in my life. First off I am now 22, which is not that exciting because there is not really any big thing to celebrate. Almost every birthday between 16 and 21 is big and there is some new thing that is opened up, but now those birthdays are pretty much over. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to have celebrated my birthday, but it is kind of sad to know that part of my life is over. The other really big thing is that I have finished another year of college! I only have one more year left of being an undergrad. It's both exciting and scary, I am one step closer to being done with school and moving on to real life.
In other news, I am going to be spending another summer in Spokane, which I am excited about. Last summer I was meeting new people and working on campus. This summer is going to be different because I get to spend it with some of my housemates, which is going to make it all the better! I am hoping though that I will be able to make it out to California in August. Waiting a whole year was way too long and I don't want that to happen again. I was really hoping to make it out for these last two weeks in May but sadly I could not find a job and so I have to stay here. Going back in August brings up more situations that I would have liked to avoided, but it has to happen eventually. So I guess it is better to just get it over with. Finally, the World Cup is almost here and I cannot wait! I am sooooo excited for it to start. I will of course being cheering for the U.S. but since they do not have a realistic chance of winning it all I will also be cheering for Spain. So, all my hopes are on Spain, but really as long as Portugal, Brazil, or Italy does NOT win, then I should be fine.
Oh, back to big things happening in my life, I have been doing a lot of reflecting on my personal life and have come to some big realizations. Due to two events in the last few weeks, I feel I better understand what I am looking for in a girlfriend/relationship, which I think is awesome. Also, that I am more fit to be in a relationship. I don't think any thing will be happening soon, but who knows what the future holds? Anyways, I think that is about it and this is a lot longer than I thought it would be. Oh, well.
